When was he created?
Jeb was created sometime back in 2002 when I was in Jr. High. I was writing a story at the time (my first) and he was to be the main character for the sequel. Of course, since I didn't have any work ethic back then (and I don't now) the first story never got finished, let alone the sequel.

What is he?
Jeb is part of a race of people called Avians that I created. Since I created them in Jr. High, the name isn't very creative.
Essentially, they're shapeshifters that have two forms. The demi/winged form that you see Jeb in more often than not and the form of a bird. There are different breeds of birds in Avian society. Jeb is a sparrow and, as such, is pretty low in social ranking. (He dreams of greatness though.)
Rian (who I actually came up with before Jeb) is an eagle and also royalty. His character page, which was adapted for an RO contest, can be seen here: [link]
As an Avian, Rian also has wings. His are kind of a golden red.

What's his personality like?
Jeb is a troublesome spirit. Like his feathered counterpart, he loves to cause trouble. He was actually inspired by the little sparrows that sit on my window sill in the summer and peck at my screens.
Despite his rather tarnished history with the local law enforcement, he dreams of greatness. He's also rather naive and wholeheartedly believes in anyone he trusts (even if that person isn't trustworthy).

Does he have a girlfriend?
No, but he's in love with a little finch named Lilah.

You have a bunch of pictures of him without wings in your gallery. What's that all about?
There were several years where I didn't have the confidence to write a story for Jeb. His personality, however, was so big that I had to let it out somehow. Therefore, he's been adapted for many stories and fandoms. He was the inspiration for a character named Michael in a story named The Black Violin (which I finished a couple years ago). He's also taken on the role of a Nephilim in a Fruits Basket/Fallen crossover that I wrote awhile back AND I play him as a Nephilim on the Fallen RPG.

Does Jeb have anything to do with Jeb Batchelder from Maximum Ride?
I can't tell you how many people have asked this. The answer is no.
I created Jeb before I ever knew that that series existed. Plus! Jeb is an Avian, not an avian hybrid. There's a difference, even if I'm the only one who knows what it is.
